A Bill of Materials is the recipe for assembling your products.  It is an important record which contains the comprehensive list of all parts, items, and assemblies required to build a complete product.

In Turbo Inventory, the Bill of Materials page lets you create and maintain the components and quantities that make your finished goods.     

    


  1. Head onto the left-hand Navigation Bar and click Bill of Material
  2. Search for the product and click Create Bill
  3. In the next page search for the parts, items and assemblies required and enter the quantities
  4. Turbo Inventory will automatically re-calculate the cost of the main product based on the components been selected

Things to keep in mind:

  • The value of the finished product is the sum of the value of all component quantities.
  • When you sell a Product that has a Bill of Material, the stock quantities of the components are adjusted accordingly maintaining an accurate stock level
  • When purchasing a component item and changing the cost, this will automatically update the cost of any product that has it in the Bill of Material
