Project Planning

       

        

       The Project Planning module allows         

  • scheduling manufacturing orders,
  • material and capacity planning,
  • assigning resources (parts, equipment, workers),
  • tracking the use of parts and fulfillment of work operations,
  • seeing the production calendar
  • managing Bills of Materials   
  • seeing manufacturing statistics.       

Projects Page

  1. Head onto the left-hand Navigation Bar and click Projects
  2. From the Projects page you can Start a project, or use the Quick action bar to jump to the Bill of Material
  3. You can also find you a project and click Edit
  4. jInventory will automatically re-calculate the cost of the main product based on the components been selected

Project Edit Page

  1. When starting a project the following information is a must Business, Project Name and Customer
  2. Once you have all the project information entered click Start the Project and you will be able to add Notes, Parts and Invoice the Project
  3. To add a Part you can start typing into the Product textbox and your products will be displayed on screen
  4. Once a Product has been added to the project, you can use the BOM option to see the Bill of Material for that product
  5. You can click Sales Estimate at any time to generate a Sales Estimate for the customer

Invoicing a Project

  1. You can invoice a project at any time, and you can have an unlimited number of invoices against the project
  2. When you click Invoice Parts, any part that isn't already invoiced will be added to an DRAFT Invoice and this will be displayed on screen
  3. To add a Part you can start typing into the Product textbox and your products will be displayed on screen
  4. All invoices are displayed under the Invoices tab
