Whether you're a single location, single register business; have multiple locations with multiple registers; or anything in-between, Turbo Inventory can be customised to suit your set up!
This allows you to accurately track what has been sold, inventory levels, and at different locations, making reconciliation and reporting easy.
Locations (Businesses)
The amount of outlets you require is determined by the amount of fixed physical locations your business has. For example, if your business has stores in Dublin, Galway, and Cork, this would equate to 3 outlets.
In order to accurately track sales information and inventory data, each location requires an Business that these can be assigned to.
This is especially important for inventory movements (stock orders, transfers, and stock levels), or if you have a stock warehouse — which would require its own Business
Setting up new Locations (Businesses)
When you first sign into Turbo Inventory your default location will already be set up and this is commonly referred to as your Head Office. To add more
- Click Settings & Tools
- Click Business Details
- Click Add New Location
- You must enter a Location Code and Name
- Click Save
Your new location is now set up and your staff can start working on it straight away.
Assigning a default location to Staff
Sometimes you want your staff to have a default location because they will always be working in that location. With this set your staff won't need to keep changing the Sales\Purchase Locations every time the create a new document
- Click Settings & Tools
- Click Staff Users
- Search for the staff member and click Edit
- Select the correct location from the Default Location
- Click Save
Switching Locations during a Sales or Purchase
You are able to select the location while creating any of the following documents
- Sales Invoices
- Work Cards
- Credit Notes
- Proforma Invoice
- Purchase Orders
When searching for stock in the screen the quantity on hand figure will be reflective of the location selected.
Depending on the page you are in there will be a drop down with the list of locations
Your Default Location will be auto selected, and you have none set, then Head Office will be auto selected. If you try to post any document with no location selected you will get a warning message indicating that the system is unable to continue until a location is selected
