Bulk importing Customers into Turbo Inventory

When setting up a new Turbo Inventory system, customers can easily be imported as a CSV file. This means you can transfer customers from an existing system (such as TAS Books, Outlook or Sharepoint), by exporting them from that system as a spreadsheet, renaming the columns to match Turbo Inventory, then importing the file directly into Turbo Inventory.

Note:
  • Cash Sale is the default system customer for all non-customer sales
  • If any of your customer fields have 'commas', they may break the import file it not properly 'encloded' in quotes when creating a spreadsheet file

Importing you Customers

  1. Head onto the left-hand Navigation Bar and click Customers
  2. Click Import Customers
  3. From the new window that opens up select your customer file
  4. Click Open

Turbo Invnentory will now import all the customers in the file and will refresh the customer page once done. Once all the customers are imported you can run a spot check to make sure the information was parsed correctly
