How to integrate Shopify with Turbo Inventory

Shopify offers businesses everything they need to get started immediately after signing up. It has an extensive design features that allow users to construct their online channel - from the look of their website to inventory management. It is simple to use, but it also has features for advanced designers, such as access to CSS and HTML files.




Note: 
  • Only products with a SKU or Barcode in Shopify will be imported into Turbo Inventory.


Generating Connection Credentials

Below are the steps for getting Shopify connection credentials: 

  1. Log in to Shopify.
  2. Click Apps located on the left side of the interface. 
  3. Click Develop App for your store which is near the bottom of the interface. 
  4. Click the Create an App button.
  5. Enter the information in the App Name  and select the App developer and click Create app
  6. When the App page opens click Configuration and then Configure
  7. Make sure the following Permissions are Set to 'Read & Write'
    • Customer details and customer groups
    • Orders, transactions and fulfillments
    • Price rules
    • Product information
    • Inventory
    • Products, variants and collections
    • Shipping rates, countries and provinces 
  8. Under Store API integration make sure the following Permissions are set to unauthenticated_write and unauthenticated_read
  9. Click Install App
  10. The page will refresh and you will be able to go into API credentials and get your information. Copy and paste to save them because you will need these information (credentials) for adding the connection settings in Order Time.
    • API Key
    • Password - Click Show.
    • URL 




Adding Connection Settings

To start adding the connection settings:

  1. Click on Apps in the side bar. 
  2. Click Manage under the Shopify section. 
  3. Click Add Store.
  4. In the Add a Sales Channel pop up, enter and set the connection settings in the Generaltab.
    1. API Key
    2. Password
    3. URL
    4. Click Create
  5. The page will refresh and you will see the new store added into Turbo Inventory



Syncing Products

  1. On the left hand menu click Settings & tools
  2. Under Control Panel click Advanced
  3. Click Start Task across from Collect Catalog
