You might notice that sometimes you Purchase Order number will change. This article will outline why this happens.
- When you create a Purchase Order (lets say Purchase Order 1001) and it has 100 lines
- Next your supplies sends you a delivery of 70 lines
- You deliver that 70 lines, Turbo Inventory now knows that 30 mores lines are in back order
- When you confirm this , Turbo Inventory create a new duplicate Purchase Order (let say Purchase Order 1002), this order contains all the same detail as Purchase Order 1001, but only has the 30 lines that are on back order
Since these orders are almost identical it looks like the Purchase Order is constantly changing but it isn't, the system is tracking all the back orders accordingly
